Fantasy Jolly is the main antagonist of Jolly. He is the main mascot of Jolly's Fantasy World and the third generation of Jolly Entertainment characters, designed to entertain all the customers that come to the establishment. He also entertains with his animatronic friends Tweetie, George, and Maxie. However, he is hostile at night and will try to hunt down Mikhail Schmidt.

He was planned to make his 4-year return in Jollibee: As Above, So Below with a new model before its cancellation.

Appearance

Jolly

Jolly is a tall humanoid bee animatronic, who appears to resemble a lot of the FNaF: Sister Location Funtime animatronics' attributes quite closely. He appears to be wearing a chef hat atop his head along with a black bowtie. On his torso, he has white stripes and appears fairly chubby. He also has blue cheeks, blue antennae, and white shoes. He also has a joyful smile across his face. He has lines on the upper half of his face, dividing it into two segments, just like the Funtime animatronics from FNAF: Sister Location.

Jollibee: As Above, So Below

Jolly has been completely remodelled from the ground up, and although he still retains his animatronic look, there are a few differences added to the model, most notably the textures onto his body and eyes, which look marble-like. His endoskeleton teeth are also exposed, and his cartoony pupils are also much more round in shape.

Background

Originally, Fantasy Jolly was going to be red like Classic Jolly two generations prior, but people were too used to seeing Jolly as a blue bee rather than a red one.

Fantasy Jolly was one of four animatronic entertainers at Jolly's Fantasy World, as is the third generation of Jolly Entertainment's animatronics.

He performed on stage alongside his partner Fantasy Tweetie, but at night his security mode activates as he roams the place with the other animatronics. The Fantasy Jolly animatronic in Portland, Oregon was not made aware that security guard Mikhail Schmidt was working there. Jolly Entertainment took note of this issue the following week, and manually stationed Jolly and the other animatronics to stay in their docile, entertainment mode for the full night, so Mikhail would not be bothered during his shift the following week.

In the Jolly canon, according to the newspaper the player receives by beating Night 7 (Custom Night), Fantasy Jolly and all the other Fantasy animatronics have been destroyed by an unknown perpetrator for an unknown reason, leading to the closure of Portland's Jolly's Fantasy World in 2017 and the animatronics to be recycled.

In the Jollibee's canon, during the minigames between nights, Jolly could not save the children from being poisoned, and was blamed for it, as hinted towards in a cutscene after Night 5. Jolly’s Fantasy World was later shut down due to the poison incident, and it turned out that Jolly was housing a soul, as part of Kevin Johnson’s plan for an animatronic body to preserve human life, called the "Soul Captivation Project". Later on, Fantasy Jolly and his prototype fell into a machine and combined, resulting in the Pinagsama.

Trivia

  • Fantasy Jolly is based off the main mascot of the well known Filipino fast food chain, "Jollibee".
    • Since FNaF Sister Location was teased, IvanG wanted to make a sci-fi styled version of him.
  • His left faceplate appears to overlap the right.
  • His legs are always in their default position.
  • Fantasy Jolly has lots of unused content in Jolly, which is showcased in the game's BTS in the extras.
    • He was originally going to attack only when the power runs out. However, this was changed, due to IvanG wanting him to play a bigger role. This is similar to how Freddy in the original FNaF was going to behave.
    • He was also going to run by the window towards the door, similar to Phantom Freddy from FNaF 3 (and Springtrap). However, this idea was dropped due to the animations being “unrealistic and too childish.”
  • He is the only counterpart of Jolly that does not wear gloves.
    • However as shown with the Pinagsama's model, Fantasy Jolly does appear to be wearing them.
  • His torso clips through his upper right leg in his window pose.
  • Due to a technical problem, Fantasy Jolly can appear in both the door entrance and the window when the power goes out, making it look like that there are two of him in the office.
  • His jumpscare was changed in the widescreen update of the game, possibly to make his jumpscare a lot faster and better. This strangely does not apply to all the other animatronics in the game.
    • This makes him and Fantasy Tweetie the only two animatronics to have changed jumpscares sometime during an update in Jolly.
    • It was confirmed sometime in 2020 that IvanG didn't like the jumpscare before the widescreen update, which urged him to change it.
  • Jolly was supposed to be in Jollibee: As Above, So Below. However, due to the legal trouble with the Jollibee's games, the third game was cancelled. A render of Jolly's model by PNM was disclosed.
